Tips: If serving rice, don’t forget to cook it—with instant pot, rice cooker or stove top—just before or between cooking the main dish to ensure it’s ready to serve along with your other dishes. For ease and speed, fold 2 bacon slices in half and cut them up with kitchen shears. Use the same plate or bowl the bacon was cut on to transfer the cooked bacon for less dirty dishes, and there’s no need to line the plate or bowl with paper towel. To make this kid friendly, chop or cut the green beans into 1-inch bite-sized pieces.
